Norev is a French producer of diecast toy cars and is founded in 1946 by Joseph and Emile Véron (spelled backwards: Norev).
At first, they only made 1:43 cars, later also 1:66.
The 1:43 models were mainly French cars. In 1953 came the first model, a Simca. The company could develop itself rather good, despite the presence of big companies like Dinky Toys. Norev has developed a niche market by concentrating only on French models.
Later, they signed contracts with Citroën and Peugeot.
